Many people think they are going to heaven because they are good. However, Jesus himself refers in Matthew 19:17 that God is the only one good. In Romans 3:23 it says: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
God is willing to forgive you. The answer is accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life. To become a Christian, you need to know these basic facts from the Bible:
Instructions on How To Be Saved
Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?
Have you ever received the Lord Jesus Christ? "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12
Realize That God Loves You
God loves you and has a plan for your life. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners
Our sins have separated us from God. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.
God's Word Also Says That Sin Must Be Paid For
"For the wages of sin is death...." Romans 6:23
Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.
The Good News Is That Christ Paid For Our Sins
All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
We Must Personally Pray And Receive Christ By Faith
The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
Pray And Receive Christ As Your Savior
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to heaven. I confess that I am a sinner, ask for your forgiveness, and I now receive Jesus Christ as my savior. Help me live for you from this day forward. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
New Life
Everlasting life begins when we receive Christ as our Savior.
What do you need to do now? 3 important first things:
1. Read the Bible
2. Pray as much as possible every day
3. Find a church that believes in the whole Bible and Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to contact a pastor or local church and share that you have
accepted Jesus and need to be baptized. If you prayed this prayer please send an email to us so we can celebrate this with you and offer any needed support.
